My girl A has a thing for lining anything and everything up. If there is more than one alike item, it’s in a line by the time she’s done with it.
Most recently, our crocheted Easter eggs on the window sill.

We’ve had a fun and busy week already. I can’t believe tomorrow is already Wednesday. Two more days of ‘regular life’ then the kids and I are headed to visit family in the Midwest.
I can’t wait.
It’s a much needed road trip and break from the normal day to day.
My father-in-law volunteered to fly out and help drive back since it’s a good ten hour trip. So thankful for him.
To make the week go a little smoother and help me tolerate the question, “Is it time for bacation” a little easier, we spent a ton of time at the park. I’m amazed at how many local parks we have around here. So thankful for being able to run off some energy.
Meals this week have been light. Today A and I made mango, banana, coconut granola. Recipe adapted from here. I substituted mangoes for the dates and added coconut before I baked it. The almonds were omitted. Thanks Jenn for the recipe! It was a perfect topping on our afternoon snack of yogurt and strawberries.
I finished up with these d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s Apple Cinnamon Muffins. They were amazing warmed up a bit. A great way to use up two apples that were more than ready to be used up.
My to-do list was long this week, but slowly getting checked off. There is always so much to get done before a trip. I always try to clean the house before we leave. It’s probably pointless since it’ll be dusty when we get back, but it’s peace of mind knowing it was done before we left so it’s not a huge deal if it’s not done right away when we return. Most of the time I need a vacation from vacation. I’m sure you can relate!
